The museum opened on April 2015 in Togakushi, Nagano. Characterized by gable-roofed hexagonal wooden architecture, the main building is supervised by Mr. Takashi Imazato, who represents the contemporary Japanese architectural industry.
Exhibition rooms show seasonal paintings and sculptures, always holding unique special exhibitions. In the entrance hall, there is a caf?/lounge with the view of the Togakushi Mountains as well as a table-seating style tearoom decorated with beautiful craftworks such as wickerwork ceiling, where visitors enjoy the traditional culture of Japan, such as the tea ceremony. There is also promenade through the vast surrounding ground, on which visitors can enjoy the nature of Togakushi in its seasonal beauty.
