An ancient temple associated with Karukaya Shonin, a.k.a., Ishidomaru, a famous character popularly used in sermon ballads and Noh plays from medieval Japan. In addition to monuments and statues related to the family in the precinct, the wife of the chief priest introduces the tragic story of the family using Etoki (a traditional art of explaining the history of deities and Buddha utilizing pictures) in the main hall. Reservation beforehand is strongly recommended for those who wish to experience the Etoki.
The precinct also enshrines Jurojin, which is a part of the Zenkoji Shichifukujin Meguri.
